Husband and wife art and design team the Franks have developed a reputation for taking issue with the values of the art world, particularly its superiority complex regarding the decorative. Their series of drip paintings are good-humoredly ironic manifestations of the familiar expressionist trope stripped of all its heroic associations. These artists suggest that distinctions between art and decoration are no longer defensible.
